The first convention Memorial Service was held in 1919 12 members who had died in the biennium were named in a resolution.Īt the 1938 Convention, Sarah Elizabeth Lines Monroe, AE (Florida State University), paid tribute to the Philomathean Society Founders, one of whom was her grandmother, with this poem:Īlthough we were not able to hold the Memorial Service during the Virtual Convention, we cherish the memories of our sisters who passed away during the 2018-2020 biennium and the 2020-2022 biennium.
